Affiliate disclosure

Fishing Session is free to read. To keep it that way, some pages contain affiliate links and some show adverts.

Some links to tackle shops are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy something, the shop pays us a small commission. You pay the same price either way. These links may run through an affiliate network such as Awin, which uses a cookie to tell the shop that you came from us. Our privacy policy explains the cookies involved.

How we choose what to recommend

  • Spec first. Our tackle guides explain what to look for (length, test curve, line class, hook size) before any product is mentioned.
  • No paid placements. No brand or shop pays to appear in a guide or to be ranked higher.
  • Commission doesn’t decide the pick. Whether a shop pays us has no bearing on what we recommend, and some recommended products have no affiliate link at all.
  • We say where picks come from. Where a guide relies on published reviews or manufacturer specs rather than our own use, it says so.

Adverts

Some pages may show adverts served by Google. We don’t choose the individual adverts, and an advert appearing on a page is not a recommendation.
